Amber and Christian had their photo session at Carney Island on Lake Weir in Marion County. I love this State Park for family photos, engagements, and couple sessions. Furthermore, there are so many beautiful spots to take pictures, especially during the magic hour before sunset. We even got to see deer and wild turkeys.
When Christian contacted me, he said he wanted to surprise his girlfriend, Amber, with a photo session. What a fantastic idea. A professional photo session doesn’t always have to be for special occasions.
Amber and Christian met about 2 months ago. Being newly in Love is always an exciting time. Learning about each other and discovering new things every day. I honestly thought they had known each other for much longer. The love truly spread through my lens. They are a pleasure to be around, and I think the photos tell their love story.
A little prep is always helpful. When Christian booked his photography session, he asked crucial questions. One thing that I find most important is some advice on what to wear. Clothing is one of those things that can go wrong in photos. Depending on the location and background (beach, park, season, or night photography), picking the right outfit is key. I mostly recommend lighter colors and monochrome shirts, pants, or dresses. This way, the focus is on you and not the huge flowers on the Hawaiian shirt.
Carney Island and Recreation Park on Lake Weir is one of my favorite spots for photos in Marion County. All year round, it offers plenty of different scenery. It is a stunning park for Family photos, engagements, or children’s portraiture. The park offers two playgrounds to keep the kids occupied and having fun during the photo session. Above all, the beautiful towering Oak trees with Spanish moss, the beachy area at the lake, and walking trails that remind you of a Grimm story will not disappoint. In my opinion just perfect for photos.
This photo session truly made my day. Given that we currently have so many negative things going on in the world, how refreshing and reassuring it is to know and see that spreading love is all we need to do. Thank you, Amber and Christian, for letting me capture your love. You are both wonderful inside and out, and you truly inspired me. I wish you all the best on your journey together.
