Congratulations to Corina and Tobi who married in Longboat Key in January 2019. I had the pleasure to meet them a year earlier when he proposed to her in St. Pete Beach. What a great honor to capture their proposal photos and their wedding.
Almost exactly one year after the engagement we celebrated their beach wedding in Longboat Key, Florida. This time family and friends arrived with them to share that special day. In the days before the wedding date, we were a little afraid of the weather and decided to move the wedding a few days later as planned. Everybody was so glad because on the postponement date we had a gorgeous day with mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine. We had two hours of wedding photography and plenty of time for beautiful wedding photos without being rushed.
The ceremony set up looked so romantic. The bamboo arch was decorated with greenery and real roses. Along the aisle, the tiki torches have been decorated with fresh flowers and white ribbons.
After the heartfelt ceremony, we had a toast and cake and started with group photos. Once finished with the traditional portraiture, I took the couple for a good 45-minute private photo session. A huge flock of seagulls landed not too far away from the ceremony location. What a perfect background for photos. I sometimes wish I could call them in for a wedding but with a little luck, they will show up. We took the most beautiful images in the sea oats as the sun was setting in a warm glow.
I can only recommend that beach access in Longboat key for wedding photography and small weddings. It is not as crowded and great for photos.
