Alana, Nik, and their four boys celebrated their intimate wedding on a Mega Yacht in Tampa Bay. When Alana contacted me, she told me she wanted this day to be extra special. Being a patchwork family, it was important to them to include the children. You can imagine that four boys can be a handful at times, and she wanted to make sure the boys were also having fun. There are probably only a few locations more exciting than sailing out on a 120-foot Mega Yacht with luxurious staterooms and a jacuzzi. Who doesn’t want to feel like royalty for a day?
For most of us, celebrating your wedding on a super mega yacht is already enough excitement. Not so fast, since there was time to kill before the wedding on board, a midday visit to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa was planned for even more photos and fun activities.
It was not hard to decide where Alana and Nik would get ready for the big day and spend their honeymoon night. The Opal Sands Resort on Clearwater Beach is where they fell in Love.
Embarking on a luxury mega yacht for your wedding is, for many of us, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. I have been photographing many weddings and events on yachts over the years, but this yacht topped it all so far. Understandably, you need to have deeper pockets to make a dream like this come true, but what an unforgettable experience.
I did get some vibes from the movie Overboard. You may ask why? Well, in the end of it all, the whole family jumped overboard in their full wedding attire.
