Axel and Martina are big Elvis Fans. They eloped from Europe to celebrate their wedding in the Chapel in the Woods. I met with them the day before obtaining their marriage license at the local Clerk. Since I am German speaking they were thankful to have a translator with them. The next day we held the wedding at the Graceland chapel. After the ceremony, we took photos in the nicely planted garden, followed by a session in front of Elvis’s home Graceland. We got 10 minutes of photo time without all the tourist buses and hundreds of tourists who visit Elvis’s estate daily. After our short photo shoot in front of the house, we planned a photo tour through Memphis in an old Cadillac. We visited the Mississippi River, a juke joint, and sun studios and stopped at some parks we found along the way.
They went for a romantic dinner downtown Memphis and enjoyed a few more days of sightseeing and touring Graceland.
