Ilona and Alex from Berlin said their ” I do’s” in a simple ceremony on Caladesi Island. Weddings don’t always have to be formal to be extra special. Alex surprised her with a limo ride and we met them in the parking lot. He even got a ” Yes I will” freshly tattooed a few days before the ceremony. The Island can only be reached by a ferry boat and we had a relaxed 20 minute boat ride to the Island. From the ferry dock, it is another 10-minute walk out to the beach. It was extremely hot that day and no shade but a few trees on the pathway. The 10 minutes seemed like an hour and we were all a bit exhausted. We set up some simple decoration for them with a heart in the sand and two tiki torches. Her son walked her down the aisle and also functioned in the role of best man, maid of honor, ring bearer and witness. After the ceremony and a toast, we continued with photos and a dip in the water. It was such a hot day that not even the water cooled us down. Congratulations to both of you.
