Sabrina and Kevin celebrated their wedding elopement in Key Biscayne. They arrived in Miami a few days prior with their guests. They traveled from Germany to say I do in the sunshine date. Even in the Sunshine State, there are no guarantees it won’t rain. Even though the weather forecast said all day no rain until the evening, a thunderstorm drenched the team of Lifestyle weddings during the setup. However experienced planners can handle those unexpected happenings and definitely can be the rescue of the day.
Kevin and their guests arrived at Crandon Park with a rental car. Sabrina and her maid of honor took an Uber ride to the ceremony location. I sent the groom and wedding party out to the beach since Sabrina did not want Kevin to see her before she walked down the aisle. After almost 30 minutes, Kevin returned from the beach, telling me the bride was dropped off a mile away at the next parking lot. He gave me his car keys and asked me to rescue his bride.
I packed my camera equipment and rushed to the rental car. No problem, I got this… I thought! Just to end up frantically searching for the shifter to put the car into reverse or drive. It took me a minute to find buttons on the top of the middle console to be pushed. Seriously, I am old school when it comes to driving and while I drove cars that start with a button before, I never had to push a button to actually get going. In the end, the day was saved and I got Sabrina to her wedding.
Sabrina walked down the aisle on her father’s side surrounded by palm trees at beautiful Crandon Park in Key Biscayne. They exchanged their heartfelt vows with tears of joy under a Bohemian-inspired wedding arch. After the ceremony, we had a toast and I shot some family and group photos, followed by an intimate couple session. We even caught a rainbow in the sky and the family sent them off with some bubbles.
